  FROG ON THE PATIO DOOR

By Molly Fischer

We found a green frog on our patio door. He slept all day in the shade of the slide rail.

He came out on the glass at night to eat bugs.

This is how big he was:

He stayed all summer. He was like part of our family.

Molly Fischer is a 2nd Grade student at Lake of the Woods School, Baudette, MN

  POEM

Frogs have long legs in the back
like jump ropes.

Frogs have short legs in the front
like thumbs.

Frog's eyes are like snake eyes.

  POEM

By Frankie Hoffman

Frogs hop high,
Frogs hop far.

Frogs hop farther,
then take five.

Their tongues hop out fast
so they can catch the flies.

Frogs hop high,
Frogs hop far.

Sometimes their green skin
Blends in with the grass,
That's why they are so cool.

Frogs hop high.
Frogs hop far.

I like how frogs sing,
They only sing in spring.

Frogs hop high,
Frogs hop far.

Frankie is a 2nd grader at Park Elementary School
