Mystery Artifact 3

This artifact provides an inside look at a special location in the Mississippi's long downhill ride toward the sea. The barge in the lock is in the process of descending the greatest single drop in elevation that occurs throughout the Mississippi's length.

1. Where is this?
2. How big is the vertical drop in this lock?
3. What natural river feature does this lock allow passage past?
