Most years, the trip begins in Dubuque onboard the Lilly Belle and runs upstream for a week, ending at a community celebration at the Dresbach Landing near Dakota, MN, hosted by the Dakota Community School. This year, flooding on the river is forcing a change in plans. Check out the new plan for the trip route and schedule of activities.
This year, the Rivers of Life program is working closely with the St. Paul/Neuss, Germany Sister City Committee on the Mississippi Adventure Interactive Expedition. We're very happy to welcome two students from Neuss as part of our student crew! Check out their introduction.
Many thanks to our partners for providing funding and support to make this student exchange possible.
