Waters
to the Sea: Rivers of the Upper Mississippi
explores how human cultures have shaped and been shaped
by three rivers in the Upper Mississippi watershed. This highly
engaging multimedia experience introduces students in grades 4-8

monitoring in the course of three virtual river journeys. Users
explore how urban development, logging, and agriculture have affected
rivers flowing through deciduous forest, coniferous forest, and
prairie ecosystems. The program comes with study guide and is
supported by award-winning Internet-based programs and resources.
