Carp Fest 2000

Carp Fest celebrates the Mississippi River and the carp by educating residents on their impact to the watershed. Held at the Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park in Brooklyn Park, this family event is a collaborative effort between the Anoka County Parks and Recreation Department and the Hennepin Parks system.

Another mission of the event is to elevate the status of the carp to a game fish and eliminate its reputation as being a less-than-desirable fish.
