The WaterShed Exhibit is displayed annually at the Minnesota State Fair. For the past few years, the Exhibit has been displayed at the Department of Natural Resources building. Thousands of people walk through this building during the 12 days of the Fair and have an opportunity to learn about the watershed in which they live and their impact to it. Volunteers from each of the organizations belonging to the WaterShed Partners staff the exhibit to assist visitors with the message of clean water.

Below: During the 1998 State Fair, visitors interact with the exhibit to learn about watersheds. Right: This year, a visitor moves all the puzzle pieces to reveal the various watershed districts in the Twin Cities metro area.

New for the 2000 State Fair is the Water Quality Interactive, a multi-media kiosk for the Clean Water Starts With You display (right). Visitors are able to see a rap video by a frog, a Journey of a Rain Drop, a documentary about a parking lot being converted back to a wetland, and a video about what students can do to monitor water quality in their own backyards. The interactive kiosk, created by the Center for Global Environmental Education, is an ideal educational tool for helping residents understand their impact to their watershed.
