The Watershed Action web site is unique because it organizes all its information around common pollution prevention service-learning projects (such as stenciling storm drains or organizing a trash clean-up). Each of five 1- or 2-page Watershed Action Fact Sheets gives key information in support of a specific service-learning project.

Go to What Watershed Are You In? to discover the shape, size, and characteristics of your watershed. Also identify local agencies responsible for water quality in your area. What Is Non-Point Source Pollution? Point source pollution comes out the pipes of factories and wastewater treatment plants. Non-point source pollution includes all the little things everyone does-from running our cars to littering-that hurt water quality. Other Background Information - Access experts on water quality through Watershed Action Organizations. If you want additional background information about water quality, link to Watershed Action Resources. |
